Jaipur. Indian Society for the Promotion of English Language and Literature (iSPELL India) fervently and gleefully celebrated its 100th Sahityik Satsang with grace and grandeur in the presence of award winning author, TEDx speaker, columnist and mentor Kiran Manral as the guest of honour.
At the onset, Prof. Ghanshyam, Founder and General Secretary, iSPELL India and Professor of English, Directorate of Higher Education, Raipur, Chhattisgarh welcomed the guest author and all dignified intelligentsias. He threw light on the formation of iSPELL with a holistic approach and motive to bring together literary fraternity amidst corona and how the society flourished and carved a niche in these two years hoisting its flagship across the seas and borders.
As Event Coordinator and moderator, Dr Shalini Yadav, Professor of English, Compucom Institute of Technology and Management, Jaipur, Rajasthan heartily greeted and introduced the eminent author of various best selling books Kiran Manral to the audience who is a the proud recipient of the prestigious Women Achievers Award by Young Environmentalists Association in 2013 and the International Women's Day Award 2018 for excellent writing.
Dr Shalini Yadav further had a fruitful discourse with Kiran Manral about her journeying ahead as a successful writer of various fiction and non-fiction books including Rising: 30 Women Who Changed India, More Things in Heaven and Earth, Missing, Presumed Dead and The Kitty Party Murder etc. Ms Manral deliberated and advised how one can develop and nurture creativity as a writer.
Advancing the session, a few questions were being taken from audience by Dr. Shalini Yadav and Ms. Manral elegantly and dexterously responded to each query as guiding and inspirational force making the session a communicative and constructive one.
Prof. Anupama Vohra, President, iSPELL India and Professor of English, DDE, University of Jammu, Jammu chaired the session adding her valued inputs and felicitated revered and powerful voice Ms. Kiran Manral with certificate as a token of gratitude for gracing the occasion with her valued presence.
Further Dr. Shalini invited all EC members of iSPELL India for a brief remark about iSPELL’s journey. Dr. Prasanta Chakraborty, Dr. Ashok Sachdeva, and Dr. Indrani M R expressed their experiences and viewpoints.
At the end, Dr. Shalini expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the guest author and distinguished assembly of well-read scholars for their convivial presence. She further extended special thanks towards Mr Pramod Dhengle, IT Coordinator, iSPELL India and Assistant Professor of English, Dr T. K Tope College, Mumbai, Maharashtra for handling the technicalities for successful conduction and making the event possible. The magnificent celebration ended with profuse hope and enthusiasm for more prolific reflections in forthcoming weeks.
