The Congress MLA from Shahpura, Manish Yadav, has written a letter to the state's Transport and Road Safety Minister requesting the reinstatement of administrative and financial powers for the Shahpura unit.

The MLA pointed out that these powers were initially granted on October 25, 2016, but were later withdrawn by the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation's order (No. F 283-11/Chief/Personnel/Adm/2019/240) dated August 6, 2019, and transferred to the Kotputli depot.

Yadav highlighted that, during the second session of the state assembly, he had raised this issue through a starred question. He mentioned that, at present, all administrative and financial responsibilities for the Shahpura unit are being handled by the Kotputli depot.

The MLA further explained that he had been informed by employees of the corporation that the personal files of the staff are kept at the Shahpura unit, while disciplinary files are maintained at Kotputli, causing considerable inconvenience to employees. For matters related to pay scales, retirement, and other work, employees are required to travel to Kotputli, which leads to difficulties

Yadav also pointed out that the Kotputli depot now falls under the newly formed Kotputli-Bahrod district, while Shahpura unit is still under the Jaipur Rural district. Shahpura unit is located about 50 kilometers away from Kotputli and serves as a major hub for business activities and daily commuters on National Highway 48. The Shahpura unit is larger than most of the other depots in the region and meets all the criteria to be an independent depot.

Therefore, Yadav requested that the Shahpura unit be reinstated with separate administrative and financial powers so that all related responsibilities can be effectively managed within the unit itself.
